There is a store within 2 minutes walking distance from our hotel.
It is called AVON,
but it is very similar to Walmart.
We told the girls to pick out a few snacks.
The first few times we went here
Valerie was a bit hesitant to choose anything.
When she saw Elise put something in our basket,
she smiled.
When she saw Rachel put something in our basket,
she smiled.
Then we told her to pick.
She took a very long time,
looking at everything carefully.
She made her choice and placed it in the basket.
Then,
Elise put something else in the basket,
Valerie was watching me.
Rachel put two more things in the basket
and Valerie's eyes got big.
She looked at me and pointed to herself.
(as if asking if it was her turn)
I nodded my head yes.
She smiled again and picked out one thing.
It took a few visits,
but now she realizes that she can pick out whatever she wants.
As you can see from the photos,
she loves to go shopping!
We went here to pick up a few things.
It looks like we have all of the necessities.
I think the girls could live on water and chips!
Valerie picked out these.
I was not quite sure what they were.
all of the writing on the package was the same
just different numbers
and pictures of unhappy children
nowhere on the package was there a picture of any type of food
to give us any indication of what we were buying.
no chicken, rooster or bird
no fish
etc.
They turned out to be like ramen noodles.
