LOI, PA, LOA - and more initials!

Okay,
So most of you remember the post about LID.  If not you can see it HERE.

Now I will explain.

LID means Log In Date

This is a very HUGE step for those who are adopting.  This is the date that all of the paperwork that took six to eight months to complete is received in China.  This is the date that all adoptive families anxiously wait for.  This is when your adoption agency starts presenting children's files to you so that you can "meet" your new child.

Once you have "found" your child you will submit:

LOI is Letter of Intent

This is a letter that you send to China, stating that you intend to adopt this precious child that God has put in your path.

Once LOI is submitted, it usually takes two weeks for.....

PA is Prior Approval.

That's the Pre-Approval from China that you are matched with this particular child.  (Ours took 9 days)

This is where we stand now.
Our PA came on 3/20/13.

So now that it is crystal clear to you, lets move forward!

What's next? Well, we're in yet another waiting room. This time, we are waiting for our LOA

LOA is your Letter of Acceptance. This is an official approval from the CCCWA to adopt your specific child.

CCCWA - The China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption

The average wait for this lovely document is 60 days. We'll see..... Once we get LOA, we're about 8-10 weeks from travel.

Thank you so much to all of you who have been so faithful to pray with us and for us. We have ABSOLUTELY felt those prayers.
Our God is SO good!
