That's What Friends Are For

These two girls have been friends since they were three years old!

They decided that they would take  something that they love to do and use it to help others.
They have been knitting for weeks.
They spent their entire Saturday selling items that they had handmade.

Elise told me that they decided half of their money will go to an orphange and half of their money is going towards bringing her sister home.

It was funny, people would walk up to our table and ask me what something cost or how something was made.

The girls would stand up and tell them all about how they had hand knit an item, or what their money was going towards, or why they wanted to help orphans.

Thank you God!
Today I was able to see what you must see.  I was a proud parent watching these girls show their passion and their hearts for those less fortunate.
I can't wait to see what is in their future!

21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Annual Oyster Roast

Each year we go to Robbie's sister's house for an oyster roast.

We have so much fun

The girls enjoy seeing their cousins

We can't believe how this girl LOVES to eat steamed oysters!

Thanks Aunt Sandra!

Down on the Farm

I can not believe it is the end of January!
We have had such beautiful weather.
Here is what we did today:

Went and picked strawberries:

We remember when we took Rachel to pick strawberries for the very first time.  She would have a strawberry in each hand and try to eat them both.  If one fell down in the dirt she would just pick it up and continue eating it!

Went to a working farm:

We got to go into the chicken coops and gather our own eggs, see the baby pigs, and feed the rabbits.

This guy was on the top of the fence with his feathers completely spread and by the time I got my camera and got close we missed the picture.

Then we stopped and picked some Cotton!
